How will I be billed? Invoices will be populated using the invoicing service Dubsado. Payment will be due upon acceptance into the program. Once full payment is received, onboarding will begin and access to Accelerator will be granted.  

What forms of payment do you accept and what are the terms? SCG accepts all major credit cards and ACH/Bank Transfers via Stripe. All payments must be received before the Participant receives access.

Is there a monthly payment option? No, not at this time.

How long is the SCG Accelerator? The SCG Accelerator is a one-year contract with an option to renew.

How many seats will come with my participation? Members includes 4 seats. Each seat will have its own unique user profile and login. The school district will become the primary Participant and will assign the 4 licenses amongst the designated secondary Participants within the school district. All Accelerator material is still owned by SCG.

Can I transfer user profiles to someone else on my team? Yes. For substitutions, please contact us at [email protected] and we will assist you with transferring your members seats.

Can my school district purchase additional users? Yes. Additional users can be added for a fee of $1,000 each. To add additional users please contact us at [email protected]. 

Can you share your licenses with other districts? No. Each school district must apply for and hold its own licenses. Participants receive four (4) licenses. Additional licenses can be obtained at an additional of $1,000 per license fee.

Is this an online program? Yes, the SCG Workforce Pipeline Accelerator is a guided online program providing leadership teams with a unique blend of educational modules, data management tools, templates, resources, webinar interviews and monthly live teaching topics to support program success.

Is there support available during the Workforce Pipeline Accelerator Program? Yes. We offer technical support for the portal. There will be monthly Office Hours posted to meet with Judi. In addition, questions can be posted directly in the online program. Additionally, participants in the Accelerator will have access to resource information to reference.

Is the content updated frequently? Yes. The content is constantly being updated to offer participants the best and most up-to-date information for improving postsecondary outcomes.

Can I get professional development credit for my work with the Program? Your school district may offer professional development credit for this course. Please inquire with your school district before engaging in this course.

Can the SCG Accelerator create workforce pipelines with educational components offered through community college? The SCG Accelerator program can be customized to align with targeted certificate or degree programs offered through community colleges to assist high school students in developing a career plan and pathway PRIOR to graduation.

Could the SCG Accelerator work with WIOA programs?Depending upon the criteria, The SCG Accelerator may be able to accommodate programs associated with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  In the event that the programs do not align, a customized SCG program can be developed.

Will this program make our school district more attractive to retain current students and recruit new students to our district? Ideally, yes. This program will help your district create high-quality post-secondary career placements and scalable workforce pipelines to career success, so students and their families won’t need to search outside their district for better options.

How is the Accelerator beneficial for my school district? In Massachusetts, the average expenditure per pupil is $17,000. The cost of this Accelerator is less than the cost of retaining one student from an out-of-district placement. This Accelerator allows the school district to create the infrastructure and partnerships for MULTIPLE work-based learning placements and entry level post-secondary career placements.

Does the program offer professional development for staff on career pathways?  Yes. Educators and guidance counselors will utilize professional development tools to expand effective career development programming and increase knowledge of career pathways in their region. They will develop an in-depth understanding of high growth industries in their region and the educational on/off ramps to those industries.

Can the Accelerator Program work with career pathway programs and course content we are currently using?  Yes. The Accelerator Program complements existing and emerging high-quality career and college pathway work already being done in schools?

Does the Accelerator Program provide guidance on how schools can access Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education workforce initiatives?  Yes. The Accelerator Program provides guidance on how schools can access college/career initiatives such as Innovation Pathways, YouthWorks, Connecting Activities and Early College Programs.
