With your foundational knowledge established and your team in place, you will take an integrated approach to identifying and partnering with external stakeholders. In Module 2, you will learn

  • Steps for aligning career pathways to local and regional priorities 
  • How to speak the language of employers 
  • Where to find the technical training for students that employers value 
  • The best strategies for successfully navigating the needs of all partners 

You will finish this Module with the knowledge and skills to develop productive partnerships, advance career exploration programming, and increase technical credentialing opportunities for your students.

Building Momentum  

Post-secondary success can be achieved through a variety of pathways. In Module 3 you will learn

  • How to broaden staff knowledge of career pathways 
  • How to shift the mindset among staff, students and parents FROM ‘College for All’ TO ‘Strong Post-Secondary Options FOR ALL’
  • Strategic ways to address education and workforce preparation with students and parents 

You will finish this Module with pipeline systems in place and a school community primed for post-secondary success. 

MODULE 4

Broadening the Scope

Building and maintaining successful workforce development pipelines is not a ‘one and done’ enterprise.  In Module 4 you will learn 

  • The best models to standardize career pathways and workforce pipelines
  • The secret to building longstanding employer partnerships 
  • Assessments to put in place to track outcomes and expand effectiveness 

You will finish this Module with the organizational systems in place to broaden post-secondary outcomes for students and develop long-term workforce pipelines along multiple career pathways.

I'm Judi Vigna, CDE® and CEO of Specialized Career Guidance

Judi is a workforce development practitioner focused on bridging the divide that exists between leading industries seeking to hire motivated talent, and the abundance of capable young people seeking pathways to successful careers. She has extensive experience building workforce development pipelines across industries. Guided by her passion for expanding career opportunities for young people, Judi has worked in academic, business and healthcare settings to build the organizational structures necessary to establish, implement and grow successful and sustainable programs.
Adept at building strong coalitions of community and regional partners, Judi travels extensively around the state, meeting with business owners, school districts, unions, and associations, about career development opportunities for young people, and ways to foster that development. Judi is a graduate of UMass Amherst, and was recently invited to speak at The 2022 Women of Isenberg Conference. She has long been a champion for expanding opportunities for young people to build successful lives.

Judi is a Certified Diversity Executive® Trained in Career Pathway Development and Sits on Several Advisory Boards.
